Bloomington, IN -  Community members are invited to change the way they job search at the 10/14 Opportunity Expo & Job Fair, presented by the Bloomington Economic Development Corporation (BEDC).  

The Opportunity Expo & Job Fair is on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at The Mill as a part of Innovation Week.  With over 1000 local jobs available at this event, attendees will explore Innovation Exhibits featuring companies, cool gadgets and corporate ideas on sustainability. They will view jobs and interact with companies in the event’s Talent Attraction Zone. The event’s Upskilling Zone is a special area designed to feature low cost career paths to higher paying jobs, as well as presentations by entrepreneurial and start-up companies.

The Opportunity Expo & Job Fair is a FREE community event. Job seekers, students, and all community members are invited to attend a unique event dedicated to telling the stories of employers who call Monroe County home.

“Today’s savvy Job Seeker is looking for more than a job, they are looking to make a difference”, says BEDC Communications & Membership Director Stacie Marotta, who has been working with employers on this event.  “We are encouraging employers to tell their story to attract employees today and in the future through this innovative approach.”

Innovation Exhibits

A unique environment dedicated to innovation & technology.  See what organizations in Monroe County are inventing, developing, creating, and sustaining.  Be able to see the future of innovation.

Talent Attraction Zone

Once attendees experience employer innovation, company culture and vision they are invited to meet with recruiters and other representatives in the Talent Attraction Zone.

Upskilling & Reskilling

Some jobs require education & training.  Future Innovators can attend focused presentations to create a path to better careers.  Workshops will be held every 30 minutes on ways to prepare you for your best future.
