Veterans Choose to Build their Second Career in Monroe County: Employers Are Benefitting from Their Skills & Experience
Indiana is proud to provide services and opportunities for veterans and their families. In addition to INvets, an organization that connects veterans to employment opportunities, the Office of Veterans Affairs works in conjunction with the Veterans Administration, advocating for and assisting Monroe County Veterans and their families to ensure they obtain the benefits they’re entitled to, including employment, education, housing, medical, and mental health care. Additional federal, state, and local governments and social support organizations in our community are the Bloomington VA Clinic, several active American Legion Posts, along with other local veteran’s resources.
Many veterans in our community jump-start their dream careers by using their military education benefits at IU and Ivy Tech.
