Economic development works to create conditions that enable our neighbors to achieve individual and economic potential.
The Monroe County community is rich in resources, organizations and efforts related to economic development — however, these efforts are sometimes siloed. Discussions on quality jobs cannot be disconnected conversations on where people live. Attainable housing is linked to land-use policies, infrastructure, broadband and transit options. Employment growth cannot be disconnected from conversations on talent, training, sites and buildings and policies that support employers.
