Workforce Support and Tech Ready Sites
- The Mill, is a vital component of Bloomington Tech’s efforts to promote the growth and success of the local tech industry. Founded in 2018, The Mill’s mission is to spark Bloomington’s innovation economy by launching and accelerating startups. The Mill’s vision is to become Indiana’s center of gravity for entrepreneurship.
- Trades District Technology Park encompasses 65 acres of downtown and is home to several technology companies. It is in the heart of the innovation corridor, a short drive from Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering and near the world’s third-largest naval base in Crane. City funds funneling into the project are used for laboratory facilities, research and development facilities, and support of the business incubator.
- The Forge is a $13 million, tech-centered 22,000-square-foot office space in the city’s downtown Trades District built to accommodate tech startups and remote workers.
- Indiana University's tech park, located near the IN 45/46 Bypass, is home to the IU Data Center and the Innovation Center. The Center for Innovation and Business houses University Information Technology Services at IU Bloomington.
- Tenth Street innovation corridor is a connector between the IU tech park and the Trades District that includes the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and the School of Informatics and Computing.
- Ellettsville’s new tech park is a 240-acre development that will include office space, warehouses, a supercenter, a bank, dry cleaning, and a postal service. The development will also include residential areas. Construction is set to begin in 2025.
- 16 Tech is a 50+ acre innovation district intentionally resourced with facilities and programs to foster tech advancement in life sciences and advanced manufacturing.
